* Describe your first student teaching context (school setting). What school are you at, what are some of its characteristics, and what classes are you teaching, and how are classes scheduled at your school?

I am at Coventry High School. The school is a major transition from my memories of high school where there was about half as many student. I am teaching three (3) classes: Hands-On Physics (Period 1 & 2), and Physics 1 (Period 3). The classes are scheduled in the following manner: Mondays are a traditional 50 minute period setup where all classes meet. Every week the first period of the day rotates so Mondays never start on the same period. Tuesday-Friday classes meet in block schedules that are approximately 90 minutes.

* Explain one of your "stealth" objectives that you want to accomplish with your students and why.

One of my stealth objectives is to motivate the students to see the correlation between the way our world works and the way the rules of mathematics operate. In doing so I want students to understand not only why the world works the way it does, but be able to predict future consequences of actions. Hopefully making my students both intellectually-smart and common-sense smart.
